- 1 Sundried Tomato or Plain Bagel
- 1/4 Cup Pizza Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella (I use fresh, local mozzarella)
- Basil, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for topping
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- PREPARE BAGELS: Cut bagel in half and brush with olive oil and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each with a little flakey sea salt. Bake cut side up for 4-6 minutes until lightly crisp and golden brown on the bottom.
- PREPARE TOPPINGS: While the bagels bake, prepare the toppings: grate mozzarella cheese and chop basil.
- FIRST TOPPINGS: Remove the tray from the oven. Top each bagel half with about 2 tablespoons pizza sauce and 3 to 4 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese.
- FINAL BAKE: Bake the bagels 6 to 7 minutes until the cheese is melted. Top with fresh basil, a drizzle of olive oil, and enjoy!
